RALEIGH - Tim Young, a 2000 Campbell University graduate, joined Campbell Law School on June 1 as Director of Development, Vice President for Institutional Advancement John Latteri has announced.

"Tim brings to this role a deep and well-rounded understanding of higher education advancement, shaped by professional experiences at several institutions," said Latteri. "As an alumnus and longtime advocate of the university, Tim has a strong understanding of Campbell's mission, culture and community, along with a sincere commitment to helping move the university forward."

In his new role, Young will lead fundraising efforts for Campbell Law School, working to strengthen relationships with alumni, donors and friends while supporting the school's strategic priorities and future growth.

"I am looking forward to connecting with Campbell Law alumni and friends and building on the law school's firm foundation as well as helping advance its mission of educating legal leaders," said Young.

Before joining Campbell Law, Young served as Director of Development for both the Shelton Leadership Center and the Institute for Emerging Issues at North Carolina State University. His advancement experience also includes development positions with Student Affairs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and William Peace University.

"We are excited to bring Tim on board as the law school celebrates its 50th anniversary this year," Campbell Law School Dean J. Rich Leonard said. "He brings a depth of alumni engagement and fundraising experience that will help continue to grow the law school's development efforts, which will ultimately benefit our students by helping them reach their goals."

Young earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government from Campbell in 2000. He also earned master's degrees from Duke University and North Carolina State University.

A longtime supporter of his alma mater, Young has served three terms on Campbell University's Alumni Board of Directors and one term on the College of Arts & Sciences Advisory Board. In 2012, he received the Distinguished History Alumnus Award.

Born in Raleigh and raised in Franklin County, Young enjoys running, spending time outdoors and being with his dog. He is a member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh.
