During his visit to Munich, the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, Giorgio Silli, met with students, families, and teachers at the Italo-German Leonardo Da Vinci School, highlighting how the institution "is an excellent example of cultural and linguistic integration, serving as a point of reference for our community in Munich and Germany".
"Italy has always been synonymous with creativity, innovation, and expertise. I am proud to see so many Italian nationals who, through their work, enrich the German economic landscape, demonstrating the strength and solidity of our community abroad," Silli stated during a subsequent meeting with representatives of the Italian community and business community.
Throughout the day, the Undersecretary also had a meeting with Eric Beißwenger, the Minister of State for European and International Affairs of Bavaria, to discuss opportunities for economic collaboration between Bavaria and the Italian System. Later, at the European Southern Observatory (ESO), Silli emphasised that "Italy continues to play a leading role in scientific and technological research, as demonstrated by the presence of our experts at the ESO". Finally, Silli met with the staff of the Consulate General of Italy in Munich.
