Section of S. 7th Street to be closed for natural gas line maintenance work

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Gas & Water has closed a section of S. 7th Street between Commerce Street and Madison Street for natural gas line maintenance work. Traffic will be detoured to Commerce Street and Madison Street while the work is underway.

Motorists are asked to slow down and be alert to utility workers and their equipment when traveling through the work zone or to choose an alternate travel route to avoid the work zone.

The natural gas line installation work is anticipated to be finished and the road reopened by approximately 2:30 p.m.
