Southeast Toyota Distributors’ State of the Art Westlake Parts Distribution Center Now Open and Shipping to Dealers

Southeast Toyota Distributors, the world's largest independent distributor of Toyotas, has opened its state-of-the-art Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Jacksonville. The new Westlake PDC has already begun servicing dealerships in the area and will soon expand its reach to 80 of its 177 Southeast Toyota dealers across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

As part of the largest investment in the company's history to modernize operations and optimize distribution, the 416,000-square-foot facility is set to distribute thousands of vehicle parts and accessories in its first year to service and support the 4.3 million Toyota owners across the Southeast.

"This state-of-the-art facility is a key component of our overall strategy to modernize operations and optimize distribution," said Eric Carter, group VP of Operations at Southeast Toyota. "It reflects our commitment to better serve our dealers and their customers by ensuring they have the parts and support they need to succeed."

The warehouse currently stocks nearly 65,000 unique part numbers. Among its innovative features is an automated storage and retrieval system accessed by 70 active robots for optimal storage and picking accuracy.

With safety and efficiency as priorities, the center includes a dedicated equipment charging area to minimize interactions between workers and machines. Additional amenities, such as a grab-and-go food market, a game room and lockers, enhance the work environment for associates.

"It just goes to show you that they plan on being around a long time and they plan on taking care of all of their partners," said Allan Smith, parts manager at Coggin Toyota.

This year, Southeast Toyota Distributors will open another PDC in Norcross, Georgia, which will service an additional 97 dealerships, along with a Vehicle Processing Center at JAXPORT's Blount Island Marine Terminal, slated to open later that year. Together, these facilities will increase capacity, streamline operations and enhance the prompt dealer service that Southeast Toyota Distributors continues to provide to its dealer partners across the region.
