On 24 June, the second round of security and defence consultations between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union was held in Brussels.
During the consultations, a broad range of issues related to expanding and deepening cooperation between Armenia and the European Union in the fields of security and defence was discussed. In particular, the interlocutors addressed security sector reforms in Armenia, ongoing cooperation under the European Peace Facility, the activities of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA), prospects for establishing cooperation between Armenia's relevant educational institutions and the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), as well as other issues of mutual interest.
They also exchanged views on Armenia-EU cooperation in strengthening resilience against hybrid threats, with particular emphasis on enhancing the capacities of the relevant Armenian institutions.
The consultations further covered current issues related to regional security.
