Arlington Ridge Road/Mt Vernon Avenue Bridge Closure During Limited Work Hours– May 16-23

The Arlington Ridge Road/Mount Vernon Avenue bridge will be fully closed in both directions during construction work hours from Saturday, May 16 - Saturday, May 23 as part of the bridge reconstruction project. During these times, crews will install five steel girders on the east side of the bridge.

Closure hours will take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays. There will be no closures on Sunday, May 17. These work periods will allow crews to complete the installation safely and securely.

To accommodate the work, WMATA route A11/A12 will close four stops along Arlington Ridge Road/Mount Vernon Avenue during the closures, and buses will route west of the bridge via West Glebe Road and South Glebe Road.
