The City of Simi Valley will host a mandatory workshop for non-profit and local government organizations interested in applying for the Fiscal Year.
(FY) 2026-27 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The application workshop will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Community Room at City Hall, located at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. The session will provide an overview of the CDBG application process, including eligibility requirements.
Funded annually by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the CDBG program supports projects and activities that provide direct benefits to low- and moderate-income residents of Simi Valley. Eligible nonprofit and local government organizations are encouraged to submit grant applications.
Attendance at the workshop is required to be eligible for funding. Organizations that do not attend will not qualify for the FY 2026-27 program year. For this funding cycle, only capital improvement applications will be considered. New applications for public services will not be accepted.
The deadline to register for the workshop is 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026. To register, send an email to City Senior Management Analyst Lindsey Scaringe at [email protected]. Please reference the CDBG application workshop and include the following information:
