FREDERICK, Md. - Curbside recycling collection will not occur tomorrow, January 6, 2025, because of the threat of dangerous weather conditions and roads. Due to this postponement, a "Snow Day Slide" will take place. Collection dates will all slide to one day later. The new schedule for this week will be as follows:
This service change only impacts those with recycling collection this week, commonly known as "Blue Week" collection.
The Reichs Ford Road Landfill, including the Transfer Station, Yard Waste and Compost Program, Citizens Convenience Center, and Recycle Center, will be closed to residents and commercial haulers on Monday. Operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, January 7th, at 7 AM. Residents concerned about curbside trash collection should contact their municipality, HOA, or hauler for service questions.
