In House Development of a No Code AI Platform Promote Digital Manufacturing Innovation in Production Sites

1. Background of Development

In response to the increasing demand for digitalization in manufacturing, JTEKT established the "Advanced Software Research Section" in October 2022 as a specialized organization to strengthen the development of web applications. This initiative aims to foster software talent and promote the automation and labor-saving of product development, design, and production processes.

However, a challenge has been the limited availability of personnel with specialized skills such as programming to quickly provide applications, especially using AI, that meet the needs of production sites. To address this issue, the Advanced Software Research Section has developed no-code AI platform that facilitates everything from data preprocessing to the training and operation of machine learning models. This platform enables employees working in production sites to improve efficiency and automate production processes without requiring specialized programming knowledge.

2. Features of the No-Code AI Platform

This solution addresses the manufacturing challenges of JTEKT, which operates a wide range of production plants for steering, drive line products, bearings, and more. The AI and software personnel collaborate with the production technology department to create the AI platform through agile development. The features are as follows:
