Closures on State Routes 99, 108, 120, and Interstate 5

Stanislaus County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct various lane and ramp closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 108 (SR-108), State Route 120 (SR-120), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

  • Overnight, intermittent full closures of the offramps to Main Street, Lander Avenue, and the Enoch Christoffersen Rest Areas in Turlock for striping work beginning Sunday, September 28, through Friday, October 3, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, alternating lane closures at Kansas Avenue in Modesto for construction work beginning Sunday, September 28, through Friday, October 3, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

State Route 108

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control at First Street in Riverbank for electrical work beginning Sunday, September 28, through Friday, October 3, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, alternating lane closures at Crane Road in Oakdale for electrical work beginning Sunday, September 28, through Friday, October 3, 2025, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 120

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures at State Route 108 (F Street) in Oakdale for electrical work beginning Sunday, September 28, through Friday, October 3, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Interstate 5

  • Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
    Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
