EU-Western Balkans summit

Wednesday 17 December

16:30 - Arrivals and doorsteps (EB forum open to all / live stream 1 / live stream 2)
17:30 - Official welcome (EB forum)
17:55 - Family photo (EB forum open to all)
18:00 - Plenary session (restricted photo/video pool during the roundtable)
19:30 - Press conference (EB press room open to all)
20:00 - Working dinner

At the end of the plenary session (+/- 19:30) - Press conference in the Europa building press room in live streaming.

European Council meeting

Thursday 18 December

08:30 - Arrivals and doorsteps (EB forum open to all / live stream 1 / live stream 2)
10:00 - Start of the European Council meeting (restricted photo/video pool during the roundtable)

Friday 19 December

At the end of the meeting (TTBC) - Press conference in the Justus Lipsius press room in live streaming.

Access for the media

A European Council accreditation (either event badge for EU-Western Balkans/European Council or one-year badge) will be required as of 16 December at 20:00 until the European Council meeting to access the Council building.

For more information on media accreditation procedures at the Council, please refer to Media accreditation.

The EU-Western Balkans and European Council badges can be collected at the LEX building during the following hours:

  • 17 December from 08:00 to 19:00
  • 18 December from 07:30 to 19:00
  • 19 December from 08:00 to 14:00

The security perimeter around the Council premises will be in place on 17 December at 15:30.

The Justus Lipsius and the Europa Building entrances will remain open during both events.
