Residents invited to provide feedback on Master Transportation Plan

Published on March 02, 2026

The City of Fort Worth's Transportation & Public Works Department is seeking public input on the new proposed Master Transportation Plan (MTP). The plan and capital program will address the city's unprecedented growth and increased congestion concerns.

The MTP is the result of 24 months of community outreach, regional coordination and capital project development. The plan includes projects that will address roadway operations, freight corridors, sidewalks, active transportation facilities and safety. It includes updates to the City of Fort Worth's Master Roadway Network (formerly Master Thoroughfare Plan) and Active Transportation Plan.

You can provide feedback here: movingamillion.org.

The public can access the site from Monday, March 2, to Friday, March 27. During this time, there will also be a virtual public meeting to answer residents' questions from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11. The details and the link to the virtual meeting will be posted on movingamillion.org on March 11. Details are also below:

The plan is tentatively scheduled for a public hearing before the City Plan Commission on Thursday, April 9, and for adoption by the City Council in May.
