County Commissioners recognize
local journalist upon retirement

FREEHOLD, NJ - The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners recognized journalist Laura Kolnoski upon her retirement from the Two River Times newspaper during a Workshop Meeting on Dec. 11.

Kolnoski was presented with a certificate of recognition by Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone on behalf of the Board.

"Laura has enjoyed a long and distinguished 47-year career as a local journalist, marked by a deep commitment to keeping the community informed about issues and events that shape the local area," said Commissioner Director Arnone. "My fellow Commissioners and I commend Laura for her many years of service to the community and wish her a happy and well-deserved retirement."

Kolnoski started her career at the Two River Times and moved on to positions including editorial director of IndustryMagazine, before returning to the Two River Times. In 2021, Laura exclusively broke the news of Netflix's intention to purchase 300 acres for its new production studios at Fort Monmouth.
