Senator Banks Introduces Dr. Monique Wubbenhorst Before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C, - Today, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) introduced Dr. Monique Wubbenhorst before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee ahead of her testimony at its hearing entitled "Protecting Women: Exposing the Dangers of Chemical Abortion Drugs."

Dr. Monique Wubbenhorst is a practicing, board-certified OB-GYN with more than 30 years of experience in patient care, teaching, research, health policy, and global health. She is a senior fellow with the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture at the University of Notre Dame and serves as an adjunct professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

"Thank you, Mr. Chairman. It's my pleasure to introduce Dr. Monique Wubbenhorst, a

practicing board-certified OBGYN with more than 30 years of experience in patient

care, teaching, research, health policy, and global health.

Dr. Wubbenhorst is a senior fellow with the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture at

Notre Dame and an adjunct professor at the Indiana University of School of Medicine.

She also cares for patients at two Indiana hospitals.

In her medical practice, Dr. Wubbenhorst is focused on providing OBGYN care to impoverished women at home and abroad. She has also authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and has served on review boards for peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr. Wubbenhorst, thank you for being here today, And I look forward to hearing your testimony on the dangers that chemical abortion pills pose to women, especially. It's great to have a Hoosier here, who is such a staunch defender for the unborn and for women.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman, for holding this hearing. I think it's really important. I'm glad that you

called this hearing. I appreciate your leadership.
