"What would you like to know about AI?" - "Stolen Focus" book discussion with Dr. Cynthia Alby
Honors College Friday January 23, 2026
Is AI going to destroy humanity or save it? How could it help or harm your education? If you have questions, Dr. Cynthia Alby has answers. Using Johann Hari's book "Stolen Focus" as a springboard, she will lead a discussion on the roots of human beings' dwindling attention spans and practical solutions for reclaiming our focus.
Participants are invited to read the book ahead of time. It will be available in the Honors office at the Humber-White Honors House. The talk takes place Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Humber-White House. Please register via the embedded link. All are welcome.
