SIDNEY (Friday, October 24, 2025) - The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects:
Bridge and Culvert Maintenance, PID 116931 - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) proposes to undertake maintenance activities on culverts and culvert-type bridges in Auglaize, Darke, Miami, and Shelby Counties. The proposed maintenance activities are necessary to preserve the life of these transportation facilities and delay replacement. The project is expected to begin in Spring 2027.
Culvert Maintenance, PID 120778 - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) proposes to rehabilitate four culverts in Auglaize, Darke, and Miami Counties. The proposed maintenance activities are necessary to preserve the life of these facilities and delay replacement. The project is expected to begin early 2027.
Siebenthaler Ave/Catalpa Dr Safety Improvements, PID 122004 - The Montgomery County Engineer's Office has proposed a project to implement safety improvements at the intersection of Siebenthaler Avenue and Catalpa Drive in Harrison Township. The current preferred alternative proposes to convert the intersection to a modern, single-lane roundabout to address high crash rates. The project will also include new sidewalk along Siebenthaler Avenue. The project is expected to begin Summer 2029. Dayton Safe Routes to Schools, PID 122266 - The City of Dayton proposes to provide a multi-use path in the vicinity of Louise Troy Elementary School, Gillespie Park, and the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton. The project is intended to improve pedestrian and bicycle access in the vicinity of these destinations. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2027.
Gettysburg Avenue Phase 3 Improvements, PID 119366 - The City of Dayton proposes to reconstruct Gettysburg Avenue, from West Second Street to Hoover Avenue. In addition to reconstruction of the roadway, improvements will include a new 10-foot wide shared use path on the west side of the road and upgraded sidewalk on the east side of the road. The project is intended to address the deterioration of the roadway and improve pedestrian access. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2028.
