Boise State is seeking a faculty representative to serve on the Idaho NASA EPSCoR Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 academic years.
The Idaho NASA EPSCoR program supports research development, collaboration and infrastructure-building efforts aligned with NASA mission priorities. Through partnerships among Idaho's universities, industry representatives and state leaders, the program helps strengthen research capacity across the state while creating new opportunities for faculty and students.
The TAC plays an important role in guiding those efforts. Committee members review research initiation grant proposals, help shape funding and fellowship guidelines, discuss statewide research opportunities and challenges, and provide input on strategic planning initiatives connected to NASA EPSCoR activities. The committee also reviews pre-proposals related to National NASA EPSCoR research solicitation and supports collaboration across institutions and disciplines.
The Boise State representative will help ensure the university's research strengths, perspectives and opportunities are reflected in statewide discussions surrounding NASA-related research and infrastructure development. They are also responsible for promoting the National NASA EPSCoR opportunity across campus.
The TAC meets annually in April to review research initiation grant proposals and select awardees. The TAC will also meet to review pre-proposals for National NASA EPSCoR solicitation but the exact date is determined by the solicitation release date.
Faculty from a range of disciplines are encouraged to express interest, particularly those interested in research collaboration, strategic engagement and advancing opportunities connected to science, technology, engineering and related research fields.
The selected Boise State representative will receive a $750 stipend for the academic year through supplemental pay or transfer to a local account.
Interested faculty should submit their name, department, contact information, and one to two sentences describing how they would provide campus representation on the Idaho NASA EPSCoR Technical Advisory Committee.
Applications are due June 29, 2026.
