Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick Statement on Vote Against Funding Bill That Hurts Working Families

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) issued the following statement after voting against House Republicans' funding bill that hurts working families.

"Any proposal that leaves our heroes homeless by decimating affordable housing assistance, cuts $23 billion for our wounded warriors who need care for toxic exposures, and starves seniors of the food they need, should be a nonstarter for any member of Congress.

"I voted against this dangerous bill, which would dismantle the programs that Americans need. I wish House Republicans would have put country over party and done the same."
