Bashline Sworn in as State Representative

Jan. 07, 2025

HARRISBURG - After winning his election to represent the people of the 63rd Legislative District, Rep. Josh Bashline (R-Clarion/Armstrong) was officially sworn into office today.

"I am humbled and honored to have earned my constituents' trust to defend and promote their interests. I take my duties and the oath of office very seriously and am ready to do everything possible to ensure they will always be heard in Harrisburg," said Bashline.

Bashline will work to ensure more family-sustaining jobs are brought back to his district while cutting intrusive government red tape. His priorities include supporting local jobs, workers and small businesses; backing efforts to secure the border and protect Pennsylvanians; defending the Second Amendment; boosting American energy independence to stop price hikes; upholding election integrity by supporting commonsense voter ID; and giving parents more control over their children's education.

Prior to joining the General Assembly, he gained experience serving as a member's district office manager. A graduate of Edinboro University and the Dale Carnegie Leadership Development Program, Bashline was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard for 12 years. As a member of the National Guard, he was deployed overseas and been called upon for duty at the local, state and federal levels. He received multiple awards and commendations for achievement.
