Update: Overnight road closure of South Sinclair Road at West Southampton Drive, June 25-26

(COLUMBIA, MO) - Due to a scheduling conflict, the overnight road closure of South Sinclair Road between West Southampton Drive and Muirfield Drive has been rescheduled. The closure will now begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 25. It was previously scheduled to begin June 23.

The closure is necessary to install storm sewer pipes beneath South Sinclair Road as part of a private development project that includes construction of a roundabout.

Northbound traffic on South Sinclair Road will be detoured via Muirfield Drive. Southbound traffic on South Sinclair Road will remain open to West Southampton Drive, with barricades placed south of the intersection.

Electronic message boards and temporary traffic signs will be in place to guide motorists through the area. Sidewalks will be closed overnight in the work area.

The road is expected to reopen by 7 a.m. Friday, June 26.
