EBA sharpens digital reporting tools

This week the European Banking Authority (EBA) released important updates to three of its digital tools - the Mapping Tool, Signposting Tool, and Time Traveller platform - ensuring alignment with the latest Pillar 3 and supervisory reporting requirements.

The updated Mapping Tool reflects changes introduced by the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR3), clarifying how Pillar 3 disclosure data connects to supervisory reporting. This alignment boosts data consistency and helps institutions meet disclosure obligations with greater confidence and quality.

The Signposting Tool, which guides institutions through all the templates and rules based on their size and complexity, now includes CRR3-driven changes and updated technical standards.

Meanwhile, the Time Traveller tool, an archive of regulatory templates by reference date, has also been updated to match new reporting technical standards.

These tools are very useful enablers for financial institutions embracing digital reporting, designed to improve accessibility, reduce compliance costs, and enhance clarity and efficiency.
