Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs Qiu Xiaoqi Attends the Reception for the 182nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Dominican Republic

On February 3, 2026, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs Qiu Xiaoqi attended and delivered a speech at the reception hosted by the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in China to celebrate the 182nd anniversary of the independence of the Dominican Republic.

On behalf of the Chinese government, Qiu Xiaoqi congratulated the Dominican Republic on its 182nd anniversary of independence and stated that over the past seven years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Dominican Republic, bilateral relations have developed rapidly, becoming a model of friendly relations between countries of different sizes and systems. China is willing to further enhance political mutual trust with the Dominican Republic, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, and continuously promote new developments in bilateral relations.
