Question for written answer E-000830/2026
to the Commission
Rule 144
Gerald Hauser (PfE)
The Commission states in its answer to my written question E-002731/2025[1] of 3 September 2025 that: 'The long-term safety data of COVID-19 vaccines to date remain very reassuring, including regarding fertility.' However, a study on which our questions are based indicates a discrepancy between the fertility of women who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 and those who have not.
The results of the study are as follows: During the study period, there were approximately 1 300 000 women aged 18-39 years in the Czech Republic, and the proportion of COVID-19-vaccinated women increased from January 2021 until reaching a steady level of around 70% by the end of 2021. At least from June 2021, successful conceptions per 1000 women were considerably lower for women who were vaccinated than for those who were not. Furthermore, successful conception rates for the vaccinated group were much lower than expected based on their proportion of the total population.
