DOTI Travel Advisory

DENVER - Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) would like the public to be aware of downtown travel lane closures next week that may impact commutes. DOTI strongly urges people to consider alternate routes to avoid delays.

Lane Closures on Speer Boulevard, Blake Street, and Auraria Parkway

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, and continuing through Thursday, September 10, DOTI crews will be removing and replacing sections of concrete panels and patching pavement at Blake Street and Speer Boulevard and continuing west on Auraria Parkway to 11th Street.

Travel Impacts

The concrete maintenance work will require crews to close two lefthand lanes of Blake Street beginning at 15th Street to Speer Boulevard. The lane closures will continue onto Auraria Parkway heading west to 11th street. One travel lane on Auraria Parkway will remain open between Speer Blvd and 11th Street.

For this work, crews will also need to close the two far-left lanes of southbound Speer Boulevard from Chopper Circle to Blake Street/Auraria Parkway.

On northbound Speer Boulevard, one of two left turn lanes to Auraria Parkway will be closed.

DOTI appreciates the public patience as this important infrastructure maintenance work is completed.
