ULV Women's Volleyball Team Honored

Team recognized by city council following historic season and NCAA championship appearance.

The University of La Verne women's volleyball team was honored by the City of La Verne for its outstanding 2025 season after finishing with a 30-3 overall record and a 15-1 mark in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. The season culminated in a run to the NCAA National Championship match. Each member of the team received a personalized certificate of appreciation.

"The city council really wanted to honor the ULV women's volleyball team for their tremendous efforts in making a name not only for the university but also for the community in which we live," said Wendy M. Lau, a La Verne city councilmember and ULV trustee. "They are a fantastic group of athletes and also scholars."

"It means so much to me," Mya Ray, the team's standout senior outside hitter, said. "I am just really happy that my team and I were able to come here and celebrate our amazing season."
