More than 300 alumni gathered on the University's Pittsburgh campus last month to reconnect with their Pitt peers and talk directly with deans, faculty members, students and staff at Health Sciences Alumni Weekend.

Alumni from across six schools - School of Dental Medicine, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and School of Public Health - attended a welcome reception at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park.

Each school also hosted events, including:

  • The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences celebrated its 55th anniversary by honoring outstanding alumni for achievements in research, philanthropy and more.
  • The Classes of 1975 and 1980 were particularly well represented at the School of Dental Medicine's happy hour, where alumni chatted with faculty and staff about how the school is growing.
  • School of Medicine alumni got a peek into how current students are learning and living with a tour of the newly renovated Alan Magee Scaife Hall.
  • At the School of Nursing's distinguished awards ceremony, Dean Christine Kasper shared that applications to the school have more than doubled since 2021.
  • Moments of student connect inspired several School of Public Health grads to serve as alumni mentors after they returned home.
  • School of Pharmacy alumni connected with Dean Amy Seybert and learned about the school's successes in enrollment and accreditation during a special happy hour.
