Classroom Reset Supply Drive Announced to Support Flood-Impacted DOE Schools

In response to recent flooding that has impacted communities across Hawaiʻi, a community-driven effort is underway to support Department of Education (DOE) schools as they recover and restore classroom learning environments.

The "Help Our Schools Recover" Classroom Reset Supplies Drive will provide essential materials to teachers and students who have lost critical supplies due to flood damage. Community members are encouraged to participate by donating new classroom and cleaning supplies to help schools safely reopen and restore learning environments.

Drive-Through Drop-Off Details: Aloha Stadium
Location: Halawa Gate 3 (off Kahuapaani Street)
Date: Thursday, April 2, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This convenient drive-through format allows donors to quickly and safely drop off items without leaving their vehicles. No monetary donations will be accepted at this time.

Items Needed Include:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons
  • Copy paper, dry erase markers, tissues, hand sanitizer
  • Cleaning wipes, paper towels, trash bags
  • Basic school supplies
  • Storage bins
  • Art supplies
  • Books for classroom libraries
  • Printer paper and organization materials
  • Blankets
  • Empty gallon water jugs (to fill water from portable stations)

All donated items will go directly to DOE schools affected by the flooding, helping provide the materials teachers and students need to get back to learning as quickly as possible. Together, we can help our schools recover.
