NOPD Seeking Person of Interest in 2021 Homicide

The NOPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in a 2021 Homicide investigation.

The pictured person is being sought for questioning in connection with a homicide by shooting that occurred on October 3, 2021, in the 6100 block of North Robertson Street.

In the early morning hours on that date, Fifth District officers were called to the intersection of North Robertson and Tupelo Streets for a simple battery. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound and the incident was reclassified as a homicide after EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The Orleans Parish Coroner later identified the victim as Joshua McFarland, Black male, DOB: 03-03-1976.

Through investigation, homicide detectives identified the pictured person as someone who may have knowledge regarding this homicide. The person is not wanted in connection with this homicide.
