Online application for Ambassador's Scholarship 2025-2026
The Embassy of India invites applications for the Ambassador's Scholarship from Bhutanese students pursuing school/ college/ vocational education or Buddhist studies in India for the Academic Year 2025-2026.
2. Applications for the Ambassador's Scholarship can be submitted online at www.indembthimphu.gov.in/amb_scholarship_2025-2026. The last date of submission of applications for the Ambassador's scholarship is 15 September 2025.
3. Bhutanese students who are already in receipt of any scholarship from the Government of India or the Royal Government of Bhutan such as the India Bhutan Friendship Scholarship, Nehru Wangchuck Scholarship, ICCR Scholarship, Nalanda University Scholarship, SAARC Scholarship, GOI Undergraduate Scholarship (coordinated by Ministry of Education and Skills Development / Royal Civil Service Commission, RGoB) would not be eligible to apply for Ambassador's Scholarship.
4. All applicants are requested to fill up the online application form, upload correct documents and ensure that their particulars including name, date of birth, College ID/ Registration No., CID No. are correct. The bank account should be held in a Bhutanese/ Indian Bank, and should be in the name of the applicant.
5. Please note that applicants already passed out of his/ her College/ University/ or taking a repeat examinations are not eligible to apply.
