Are you frustrated by the excess fruit that your trees are always producing in your back garden? Are you not sure how to sustainably dispose of this excess fruit.
If yes, come along to this information session and hear from Brett Dustone, founder of Fruit Share Adelaide.
Fruit Share Adelaide is a non-profit organisation run by a team of volunteers who are committed to preventing food waste by collecting unwanted or surplus fruit for free distribution to food charities and the community.
With its ideal climate for growing fruit, Adelaide is home to thriving fruit trees that can be found flourishing in backyards, orchards and public spaces across the region. However, sadly, much of this goes neglected and ends up rotting on the ground or thrown away.
Many homeowners find themselves with more fruit than they need or can use from their backyard trees. Others struggle with the time or ability to harvest the fruit themselves. Fruit Share Adelaide can help collect the excess fruit and give it away to those in need.
