Board of County Commissioners' Schedule for November 9 - 13, 2026

MONDAY, November 9
8:00 a.m. - Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote
of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

1. For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b). Purpose: C.R.S. Title 30, Article 28.

10:00 a.m. - Boards & Commissions Interviews
The Board will interview county residents for vacant seats on County Boards & Commissions.

TUESDAY, November 10
10:00 a.m. - Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

1. Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding Between La Plata County and Prowers County regarding the Hotline County Connection Center.
2. Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between La Plata County and El Paso County regarding Human Services for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Case Reviews.
3. Approval of a Request for Amendment #2 to the Community Development Block Grant 23644.
4. Approval of Resolution No. 2026-31 establishing the office closure schedule for La Plata County Departments and Offices for 2027.

3:00 p.m. - Work Session regarding the South Durango Urban Renewal

County offices are closed in observance of Veterans Day.

THURSDAY, November 12
4:00 p.m. - Commissioner Chat with Matt Salka in Ignacio
Commissioner Matt Salka will host Commissioner Chat in Ignacio from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for members of the public to discuss county issues of interest or concern. The event will be held at the Ignacio Community Library, located at 470 Goddard Ave.

FRIDAY, November 13
1:00 p.m. - Leadership La Plata Event
Members of the Board have been invited to sit on a Leadership La Plata Panel. The event will be held at La Plata Electric Association (LPEA), located at 45 Stewart St. in Durango.
