Altoona and Mont Alto faculty co-chair family relations preconference

ALTOONA, Pa. - Kelly Munly, associate professor of human development and family studies at Penn State Altoona, and Robin Yaure, professor of human development and family studies at Penn State Mont Alto, co-chaired and facilitated a two-day "Theory Construction and Research Methods" preconference workshop at the November 2024 National Conference on Family Relations (NCFR) in Bellevue, Washington.

This effort involved a year of working with NCFR to solicit and facilitate reviews and discussants for papers that presented innovative steps in family science theory development and application of methods. The pair then constructed the format of and facilitated the workshop.

This leadership follows the 2022 co-chair role of Raymond Petren from Penn State Scranton and precedes the 2025 co-chair leadership from University Park's Samantha Tornello.
