New Knight to Know: Nadia Blume ’30

Major: Political Science

Are there any extracurriculars you plan on joining or are already a part of?

I'm in the 3+3 accelerated law program and the Honors Program, and I'll also be throwing for the women's track and field team.

What are some of your hobbies?

I love to read wherever I go, and I love to paint when the weather is nice. I love to go on walks and go on car rides with my friends.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date?

Being a captain my senior year of high school for the track and field team, and placing second at Districts for the 2026 PIAA District 2 Championships.

What is a challenge you've had to overcome to get to this point?

I used to be shy, always avoiding eye contact and people in general. My school played a huge role in helping me overcome this by emphasizing presentations in class, which prepared me for public speaking and engaging with others. By pushing myself and utilizing the support I was given, I learned to present proficiently. Now, I'm not afraid to meet new people and explore new things, even if they initially make me uncomfortable.

What made you choose Arcadia?

Arcadia was a perfect fit for me. The accelerated law program, along with the chance to keep playing the sport I've loved since freshman year of high school, made it clear that Arcadia was the best choice for my education.

What are you most looking forward to?

I cannot wait to meet new people around campus, on the team, and in the classroom!
