Winter Teaching Academy, Jan. 7

Winter Teaching Academy (WTA) is an annual faculty professional development event where hundreds of faculty across disciplines and campuses gather to learn about the latest and best teaching strategies, course design tips, and more. This year, WTA will focus on helping faculty convert their Blackboard Original courses to Blackboard Ultra.

If you are a faculty-member who has not converted their course yet, now is the time to do it! All courses will be in Ultra starting in Fall 2026, so the sooner you convert, the easier the transition will be for you and your students.

At WTA, you will learn how to convert your course to Ultra, use the features of Ultra (discussions, tests, accessibility, grading), add tools (LTIs), and integrate publisher content. Check out the WTA schedule to see which sessions you want to attend, and save the date in your calendar. For adjunct faculty, we also have a pared-down evening session, Adjunct Academy & Orientation (more details available in the schedule). If you have any questions, reach out to Faculty Success at [email protected].

Event location - Zoom
Event date - Jan. 7, 2026
Event start time - 9 a.m.
Event end time - 4 p.m.
