Detroit families can now apply for Rx Kids, a direct cash assistance program that provides financial support during pregnancy and throughout a baby's first six months of life.
The program, launched through a partnership between the City of Detroit, Michigan State University and GiveDirectly, provides direct financial assistance to pregnant mothers and families with newborns during one of the most financially critical times in life.
Detroit is now the largest city in the country participating in the Rx Kids program.
Rx Kids is a community-wide cash assistance program that provides direct payments to eligible mothers during pregnancy and throughout a baby's first six months of life.
