Irrigation project to impact campus

Through Feb. 7, the intersection of S. Vermont Avenue and Belmont Drive will be closed to accommodate work on the campus wide pressurized irrigation project. The project contractor making is working to connect to the recently placed underground infrastructure that spans the path between the Micron Center for Materials Research and the Rec Center. Additional closures to Belmont Drive may occur to allow for the safe flow of traffic. Adequate signage and barriers will be in place for the closures and resulting detours.

Crews are also beginning underground work behind the Student Union Building, on the south side of the Intramural field. It is anticipated that this work will take two weeks. Parking and traffic on Bronco Lane (also known as Bronco Circle) will be minimally affected by this work.

A more extensive closure of Bronco Lane will be forthcoming in late February.
