BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Celebrating a decade of impact on student success, Bowling Green State University invites the community from March 25-26 to support its 10th BGSU One Day, the annual giving event that supports learning experiences and opportunities for current and future students.

Over the past 10 years, BGSU One Day has generated millions of dollars to expand scholarships, enhance academic programs and create hands-on learning experiences that set Bowling Green apart. What began as a new initiative has grown into a signature 36-hour tradition - fueling opportunities that help students graduate on time, launch careers and thrive long after earning their degrees.

This year's BGSU One Day aims to surpass last year's $2.7 million in combined gifts and will once again feature multiple match and challenge gifts, allowing supporters to double their impact and unlock additional donor contributions. No matter the amount, all gifts will support the next decade of life-changing opportunities for current and future Falcons at the No. 1 university in Ohio and among the top five in the nation students say they would choose again.

BGSU One Day differentiates student experiences and opportunities by:

  • Funding merit and need-based scholarships
  • Providing experiential learning opportunities through study abroad, field experiences, internships and co-ops, club sports, athletics, BGSU Bands and more
  • Supporting teaching quality and impactful research that contributes to the health and well-being of communities and populations
  • Enhancing communities through engagement, service and innovative partnerships

Located in one of America's best and safest college towns, BGSU continues to invest in high-demand degree programs that are sought after by students and employers, particularly in science, technology, engineering, mathematics - or STEM - and healthcare fields.

The BGSU Life Design program significantly differentiates a Bowling Green education by empowering students to shape their college experience and career goals with design thinking principles that promote on-time graduation and reduced overall debt.

Nationally recognized for its top-ranked student experience, BGSU is also home to over 300 student organizations, including Club Sports and the 475-member Falcon Marching Band, one of the nation's largest college marching bands.
