I-5/SR-78 Connector Closure May 2

SAN DIEGO - - Caltrans will close the State Route 78 (SR-78) connector to southbound Interstate 5 (I-5), southbound I-5 connector to SR-78 and the number 4 and 5 southbound I-5 lanes between Cassidy Street to Jefferson Street. Saturday evening, May 2, from 8 p.m. until Sunday morning, May 3, at 8 a.m., for pavement rehabilitation.

Southbound I-5 motorists may exit at Las Flores Drive, turn left on Las Flores Drive, and proceed to the northbound I-5 to the eastbound or westbound SR-78 connector.

Eastbound and westbound SR-78 motorists may connect to northbound I-5, exit on Oceanside Boulevard, turn right on Oceanside Blvd, and proceed to the southbound I-5 ramp.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
