Desperate for Good News, Trump Takes Credit for Investment Under Biden-Era Law He Called to Repeal Arrow

In response to the Trump administration touting funding delivered through President Biden's historic CHIPS and Science Act as their own, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:

"Since entering office, Donald Trump has accomplished nothing but tanking our economy and sowing chaos, so it's no wonder he's trying to change the narrative and claim his predecessor's successes as his own. But try as he might, Trump can't change the facts: Instead of supporting historic technology funding and job creation secured through the CHIPS and Science Act, Trump tried to repeal it. Trump owns his disastrous economic record of offshoring, erratic trade wars, and surging prices. And he has the plummeting approval ratings to prove it."

NEW: The Trump administration touted expanded investments in U.S. chip manufacturing that began under the Biden-Harris administration.
