Belmont Subarea Plan Open House Set For January 30

Published on January 23, 2025

Residents are invited to the Belmont Subarea Plan open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 30, at the Belmont Elementary School Cafeteria, Door 1, 3425 N. 14th St.

The open house will include interactive stations with staff from the BNIM Consultants, Sinclair Hille Architects, Urban Development Department, and other City departments to discuss topics and answer questions. Snacks and other refreshments will be provided.

The Belmont Subarea Plan is an opportunity to take a comprehensive look at the Belmont Neighborhood. The plan will present a strategic vision for the neighborhood and provide a framework for achieving that vision. It will address a variety of topics including land use, housing, transportation, economic development, appearance and placemaking, and other community enhancements.

When completed, the Belmont Subarea Plan will be adopted as part of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan. Examples of other subarea plans in Lincoln include the Downtown Master Plan, North 33rd and Cornhusker Subarea Plan, and the South Haymarket Neighborhood Plan.
