NTSB Releases Agenda for DCA Midair Collision Investigative Hearing

​​​WASHINGTON (July 22, 2025) - The National Transportation Safety Board Tuesday released the agenda for the three-day investigative hearing into the Jan. 29 mid-air collision between a PSA Airlines CRJ700 regional jetliner and a U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The NTSB conducts investigative hearings to assist in obtaining information necessary to determine the facts and circumstances of transportation accidents or incidents under investigation. Although the investigative hearing is open to the public, only NTSB board members, investigators, witnesses and parties to the hearing are allowed to participate.

WHAT: Investigative fact-gathering hearing on the mid-air collision between a PSA Airlines CRJ700 regional jetliner and a U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

WHO: NTSB board members, investigative staff, scheduled witnesses and parties to the hearing.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern time.

WHERE: NTSB Boardroom and Conference Center, 429 L'Enfant Plaza, SW, Washington DC 20024

HOW TO VIEW: Attend in person or watch the livestream. The NTSB announced it would hold the hearing on June 10.​

HEARING DOCKET: The hearing docket contains factual reports, transcripts of the cockpit voice recorders for both aircraft, photographs and other investigative materials. It will be opened at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, July 30. Once the docket is opened, it can be accessed on the NTSB website: DCA25MA108
