Hub City Sounds Brings Caribbean, Janmashtami Festivals to New Brunswick This Weekend

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 21, 2026) - Two family-friendly events will take place in New Brunswick this weekend as the popular Hub City Sounds festival series brings major outdoor cultural celebrations to local parks.

The weekend kicks off Saturday with the 11th Annual Caribbean Festival at Recreation Park, 7 Pine St., from 2 to 6 p.m. Visitors can immerse themselves in island culture with dynamic dance showcases, authentic cuisine, and live music representing more than 25 Caribbean nations.

The cultural festivities continue Sunday at Boyd Park with the Janmashtami Festival from 1 to 6 p.m. The event offers a colorful journey through Indian traditions, featuring classical dances, theatrical performances, and a variety of North and South Indian dishes.

Both admission-free festivals offer interactive activities and entertainment designed for all ages.
