Battleground Avenue Lane Closures Underway

Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction on the 2400 block of Battleground Avenue, from Markland Drive to Carroll Street, due to an eight-inch water main break.

City crews will be on-site until repairs are completed, the lanes reopened, and service is restored, which is expected by 6 pm. Signs and traffic cones are in place, and motorists are urged to use alternate routes to avoid the area. See the map below for the location.

If you notice discoloration or cloudy water coming from your tap after the repairs, run cold water for a few minutes through a faucet without an aerator, such as an outside spigot or bathtub, until clear.
