Contra Costa County & Marin County - Caltrans construction will conduct overnight lane closures on eastbound I-580 Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, impacting lanes #1 and #2 (the two far-left lanes) from the eastern end of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge to the Stenmark Drive on-ramp in Richmond. For safety reasons, lanes #1 and #2 will be closed nightly Monday beginning, Monday, May 4, 2026, through June 30, 2026, between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, to facilitate permanent repairs to the Scofield Avenue undercrossing.

The Richmond-San Rafael Bridge remains safe and open for travel despite ongoing lane closures. Permanent repairs to the Scofield Avenue undercrossing tentative scheduled to be completed by July 2026.
