Bismarck Police Investigating Vehicle-Pedestrian Crash Near Bismarck High School

BISMARCK, N.D. - A 15-year-old Bismarck High School Student is hospitalized after being struck by a truck in the 700 block of N 7th Street earlier today.

Around noon, officers responded to the area of Bismarck High School for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located the 15-year-old student with significant injuries to her lower body.

Preliminary information indicates a 46-year-old man was travelling southbound on North 7th Street when his truck struck the student while she crossed in the cross walk eastbound towards the school.

The student was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and the status of her injuries appears to be non-life threatening.

The Bismarck Police Department Traffic Investigation Section is conducting a full investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
