Buffalo Drive Road Improvements Continue From Sahara Avenue To Charleston Boulevard Through Nov. 22

Buffalo Continues To Have One Lane Open In Each Direction

The repaving roadwork on Buffalo Drive between Sahara Avenue and Charleston Boulevard now will continue through Nov. 22. Buffalo remains reduced to one through lane in each direction between Sahara and Charleston during the work.

Primary work activities include raising of utilities and installation of delineation. Work activities take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, subject to weather and equipment availability. Lane restrictions will remain in place 24 hours/day until the project is completed.

Rainbow Boulevard or Durango Drive are recommended as alternate routes for north- and southbound traffic.

Preliminary work was completed consisting of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, including the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, curb and gutter, lowering utilities and repaving.

Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $1.4 million, provided by the Federal Highway Administration and matched with Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax funds. Those with questions or concerns during the work may call 702.353.4294.
