DPM Ivanović receives Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye Ayda Ünlü on her inaugural visit

Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović received on an inaugural visit the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Montenegro Ayda Ünlü, who assumed office in January this year.

Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović congratulated Ambassador Ünlü on her appointment and wished her a successful mandate in Montenegro, expressing confidence that during her tenure bilateral relations between the two countries will continue to develop in the spirit of friendship, mutual benefit and intensive cooperation. The interlocutors assessed that the two countries maintain excellent and substantive relations, further enhanced in the previous period through continuous political dialogue and strong economic cooperation.

The need for further institutional strengthening of the partnership was emphasised, noting that the establishment of a High-Level Cooperation Council, expected in the forthcoming period, would provide additional momentum to overall bilateral relations and create space for new joint initiatives.

It was concluded that Montenegro and Türkiye remain committed to deepening overall cooperation and maintaining dynamic political dialogue, to the benefit of the citizens of both countries and the stability of the wider region.
