Aloha community members will have the opportunity to learn more about pedestrian and safety improvements planned for Alexander Street at an open house Tuesday, November 3 from 5-7 p.m. at Living Hope Fellowship, 3350 SW 182nd Ave.
Alexander Street is an important route that many pedestrians and cyclists rely on as an alternative to Tualatin Valley Highway. The project team will be available to discuss the proposed improvements, and property impacts during the event. Drop in any time between 5-7 p.m.; no formal presentation is planned.
Alexander Street improvements between 178th and 202nd avenues include:
Additional sidewalks to fill in gaps between 192nd and 202nd avenues will be added creating a complete sidewalk connection west to 209th Avenue.
These features are designed to improve safety and support the community's growing need for walkable, bike-friendly infrastructure.
Design began in 2022 and is expected to continue through summer 2027. Construction is expected to start in spring 2028 through summer 2029.
County staff will be available to discuss the Alexander Street Project during the open house. Learn more through the Alexander Street (178th Avenue to 192nd Avenue).
This project is funded by Washington County's Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP), a countywide program that invests in safer travel and delivers improvements to the roads that carry our communities forward.
