Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Announces Roadway Improvements on NW 6th Avenue

The Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is notifying residents, businesses, and commuters of upcoming roadway improvements along NW 6th Avenue. As part of ongoing efforts to enhance roadway safety, traffic flow, and neighborhood accessibility, construction activities will begin with scheduled road closures starting Sunday, December 7th , at 8:00 p.m. The project is anticipated to be completed within 180 days.

Road Closures

Beginning December 7 at 8:00 P.M., temporary closures will occur at the following intersections:

  • NW 6th Avenue & NW 10th Street
  • NW 6th Avenue & NW 6th Street

Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained at all times throughout construction.

Alternate Routes

To minimize delays, motorists are encouraged to use the following alternate routes:

  • NW 3rd Avenue
  • NW 15th Street
  • NW 4th Street
  • NW 8th Street
  • Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard

Roadway Improvements Overview

The roadway improvement project includes:

  • Removal of existing roundabouts and installation of raised intersections with controlled stop signs at:
    • NW 6th Avenue & NW 6th Street
    • NW 6th Avenue & NW 8th Street
    • NW 6th Avenue & NW 10th Street
  • Repaving of NW 6th Avenue from Atlantic Boulevard to NW 15th Street

These enhancements aim to improve traffic safety, modernize infrastructure, and create more efficient travel conditions for the community.
