Governor Bong Lacson led the ceremonial send-off of 11 ambulance units, which will be strategically prepositioned in 11 Local Government Units (LGUs) across Negros Occidental to enhance their Emergency Response Capabilities.
The recipient LGUs include Don Salvador Benedicto, San Enrique, E.B. Magalona, Cadiz City, La Castellana, Moises Padilla, Candoni, Valladolid, Cauayan, Isabela, and Toboso.
The respective mayors of the recipient LGUs were present at the activity held at the Provincial Capitol.
Each LGU received one Basic Life Support (Type 1) ambulance unit, equipped with essential medical tools and manned by trained, dedicated drivers.
These efforts, spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), aim to ensure prompt and efficient Emergency Medical Services (EMS) during emergencies, highlighting the provincial government's commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and improving healthcare access in the province.*
